Blue and White Fall Decor Home Tour

Welcome to our fall home tour!
This year, I wanted to embrace a softer side of the season by decorating with blue and white fall decor.
Instead of bold, traditional colors, I layered in neutral tones, cozy textures, and subtle pops of blue that tie into our recent living room makeover.
The result is a calm and inviting look that feels fresh for fall while still adding plenty of seasonal charm.
Let’s take a walk through our entryway, living room, kitchen, and eat-in area so you can see how it all came together.
Entryway Blue and White Fall Decor

The entryway sets the tone for the rest of our home, so I wanted it to feel welcoming while tying into the soft, neutral palette I’m using this year.
Our console table and mirror, which I painted white and antiqued shortly after we moved in, made the perfect backdrop for layering in fall touches.

In the center of the table, I placed a wicker vase filled with tan leaf branches and tied a white velvet bow around it for a soft, seasonal accent. On each side, I added an antique demijohn to bring in character and warmth.

To finish off the tabletop, I placed two light-up pumpkins made from grapevines and wired jute twine on each end. I bought these during the Hobby Lobby fall clearance sale last year. They were an incredible find for just a few dollars each!

In front, I tucked in two gourds and three small grapevine pumpkins to add texture and depth.

On the lower shelf, I styled a tall and a short basket, slipping a blue throw into the smaller one. It was a simple yet effective way to add a touch of color that ties in with the rest of our home, while keeping the space cozy and practical.
Styling Tip: Don’t be afraid to mix antique treasures with clearance finds. Layering high and low pieces gives your entryway a collected look that feels both personal and welcoming.
Living Room Fall Decor in Blue and White
Since our living room makeover introduced touches of blue, I knew this was the perfect space to highlight our non-traditional fall palette.
Feature wall decorating ideas

We started with the fireplace and selected a beautiful painting for our picture frame TV featuring fall trees surrounding a body of water. (Funny enough, it photographs with hints of pink, but in person it’s mostly blue and white.)

The mantel came together easily by reusing the same tan leaf branches I featured in the entryway—an old Hobby Lobby find—and mixing them with tan pumpkins nestled between thrifted DIY frames we repurposed into art.

From there, I incorporated seasonal touches throughout the built-in shelves with a few tan and white pumpkins for added texture and warmth.
Tips to decorate living room tables

On the coffee table, I styled a rustic white tray filled with dried white oak leaves, then placed a wheat bundle in the center, accompanied by a gold pheasant on each side. To tie it all together, I painted small pumpkins blue and highlighted them with white wax for a subtle, custom look.

The seating area gained even more charm when I tucked DIY pumpkin pillows I had made a few years ago out of placemats into our Louis chairs.

On one end table, I kept it simple with a tan pumpkin beside the thrifted box of coasters I recently painted blue.
Finally, I styled the console table along the side wall.

I couldn’t bring myself to take down the bird prints we added this summer, so I worked around them by adding more tan leaf branches and setting a tiered tray in the center. On the tray, I displayed DIY twine pumpkins. Then, I placed four yarn pumpkins (still my most popular DIY project) and two more blue-painted pumpkins on each side of the tray.

On the shelf under the table, I placed two large DIY pumpkin pillows and two baskets.
Styling Tip: Don’t hesitate to reuse and reinvent what you already own. A coat of paint, a touch of wax, or pairing DIY projects with store-bought finds can give your fall decor a completely fresh feel.
Eat-In Area Blue and White Fall Tablescape

The eat-in area is one of my favorite spots to decorate because it’s where we gather most often, and this year I wanted it to feel extra cozy.
Buffet decorating ideas
I started with the buffet by placing two sets of off-white stacked pumpkins from Dollar Tree at each end.
I initially thought I would paint them, but once I added brown velvet bows, they looked perfect as-is.
To ground the look, I laid out two neutral leaf garlands from Walmart—a fantastic deal at just $6.92 each!
In the center, I grouped three off-white canisters and surrounded them with the DIY sweater pumpkins I made a few weeks ago for a soft, textured touch.
Above the buffet, I created a simple wreath by attaching two more Walmart leaf garlands to a wreath form with pipe cleaners.
To tie it into the rest of the decor, I added a bow, similar to the ones on the stacked pumpkins, and tucked in small blue velvet pumpkins that I found at Hobby Lobby.
It’s a subtle way to carry the blue accents into this space.
Fall table decor tips
For the table itself, I created a centerpiece using a wooden tray layered with another leaf garland, three gourds, and additional tiny blue velvet pumpkins.

Each place setting includes a rattan placemat topped with an off-white dinner plate and a cute pumpkin plate I bought at Hobby Lobby several years ago.
I finished the look with champagne utensils and beige cloth napkins tucked into brown napkin holders I recently thrifted.
It all came together in a way that feels warm and festive, yet still fits perfectly with our blue and white color scheme.
Styling Tip: Don’t overlook affordable finds! Mixing budget-friendly pieces, like Dollar Tree pumpkins and Walmart garlands, with DIY projects and thrifted treasures can give you a high-end look for a fraction of the price.
Kitchen Blue and White Fall Touches
The kitchen is the heart of our home, so I like to sprinkle in seasonal touches that feel festive without taking up too much space.

On the pie shelf, I combined practical storage with decorative elements by displaying thrifted dishes, ironstone, and milk glass pieces, then added a few pumpkins for a playful fall accent.

On top sits one of my favorite finds—a white turkey platter I scored for just $1 at a yard sale!

Our DIY plate rack received a quick refresh with a pumpkin plate and a thin pumpkin basket, adding a simple seasonal update.
On the counter, I styled two vignettes to highlight my collection of brown transferware.

The first features a plate on a stand paired with a wicker basket filled with dried flowers and a little salt and pepper set in front.

The second includes a lid on a stand displayed with a soup tureen and my DIY lamp made from a candlestick and thrifted shade.
For the island, I created a centerpiece by filling a long basket with a Walmart garland, two large gourds, and a handful of blue velvet pumpkins.
On the opposite end, I added a round cutting board topped with a swan bowl, which I also filled with garland for continuity.

To tie everything together, I painted a clearance sign I found at Hobby Lobby in soft blue and attached a wreath to it before hanging it above the stove.
It’s a small detail, but it pulls the blue tones into the kitchen beautifully.
Styling Tip: Use everyday items like platters, tureens, or cutting boards as backdrops for your fall decor. Not only does it save storage space, but it also makes your seasonal styling feel more natural and collected.
Closing Thoughts
I hope you enjoyed this look at how we brought fall into our home this year with blue and white decor.
It was so much fun to build on the touches of blue we added during our living room makeover and layer in cozy neutrals, natural textures, and a variety of pumpkins.
Using a softer palette proves that you don’t have to stick with traditional orange and red to capture the feeling of the season.
If you’re drawn to cooler tones or already have blue in your home, this is such an easy way to make your fall decorating flow seamlessly from room to room.
And don’t forget—mixing DIY projects, clearance finds, and thrifted treasures not only saves money but also creates a collected look that feels personal and unique.
