I love to change the decor in my home based on the seasons!
My idea of fun is “shopping my house” and moving things around!
Sometimes I purchase new items, but many times, I create new decor myself!
Let’s take a tour of my home so I can show you how I decorated for Spring!
5 simple ideas to decorate your home for spring
1) Dress up your front door
One of my favorite ways to welcome a new season is by hanging something seasonal on my front door!
I love to make wreaths, but I wanted to try something new this season, so I made over a basket!
To see how I made this floral basket wreath click here!
2) Lighten up the colors in your home
During Spring I like to lighten up the colors in my home!
This year I decided to use white, green, and a little bit of gray.
White dishes
I have been collecting white pitchers and dishes for a while, and recently started to collect Ironstone. I was able to find some pretty pieces at the Renningers Antique and Collecter’s Extravaganza in February!
Green topiaries
I love to add pops of green to my spring decor and topiaries are perfect for this!
Here’s another treasure I purchased at Renninger’s. I’ve been wanting a bust planter for quite some time!
Gray & white in the eat-in kitchen
The dried floral arrangement on the shelf below was my inspiration to add different shades of white and gray to my eat-in kitchen area!
I made the beautiful wood flower wreath hanging on the mirror! You can see the DIY here!
How do you like the bunny fold napkins? Perfect for breakfast on Easter morning!
3) Bring the outdoors in
Spring Flowers
These flowering branches say “welcome Spring!”
Olive Topiary
I made the olive topiary on my kitchen counter! It was inspired by a topiary I saw in the Magnolia Home Spring Collection!
Nests and eggs
If you’d like to learn how to paint eggs to look realistic, check out this DIY I did last year!
This year I decoupaged eggs for my Easter tablescape. See how I made them here!
Bunnies and birds
Sweet bunnies and birds adorn my pie shelf in the kitchen.
Don’t these ceramic birds look precious on my coffee bar!
This adorable bunny banner came from Home Goods!
Moss covered anything
I don’t know what it is about moss-covered items that draw me in!
But, I love all things moss!
I created a nature-inspired tablescape for Easter around the cute moss bunnies! You can see all the details here!
To match the table, I made these moss and twig charger plates! Click here to see the DIY!
4) Switch textiles
Each season I switch the textiles in my home! I have a bit of an obsession with pillows, which you’ve probably noticed, lol!!!
Table linens

Spring pillows
Did you notice this pillow matches the table runner?
I made this adorable no-sew bunny pillow from kitchen dishtowels!
I love all the texture on these pillows!
Use lighter throw blankets
The weather is getting warmer, so I put my heavy throw blankets away and pulled out lighter ones!
5) ADD SEASONAL ARTWORK
When we moved to Florida (almost two years ago) I started looking for artwork for the house.
I could not find anything I liked!
I was so discouraged!
And then I found this…
french flowers
I hesitated to buy it because it says “Spring” and I knew I wouldn’t want it hanging on the wall at Christmas time.
I put it in my cart anyway, and two people commented on how lovely it was before I left the store.
I’m glad I bought it and instead of putting it away when Spring is over, I think I’m going to hang it in my laundry room!!
Now for my favorite piece of Spring decor!
bunny
This adorable bunny is an original artwork by my son Griffin!
I saw a similar bunny on Liz Marie Blog (one of my favorite blogs) and asked Griffin if he could draw me something similar!
Isn’t it wonderful! His talent never ceases to amaze me!

Hi! Your Easter decor is beautiful! I was wondering, what are the measurements of that rustic wire egg basket you have? I’m looking at one very similar on amazon, but not sure what size you have. I wouldn’t want one too large. Yours looks about right!

Thank you so much! My basket measures 9 X 9 inches. Happy Spring, Donna
