Why you need to start your Fall Decor Crafts now
I know it’s still summer, and you may think it’s too early to start thinking about fall, but…
Today I have seven great crafts I want to share with you!
They are so cute, I know you’ll want to make them!
I’m sharing early, so you have plenty of time to gather the materials and make them before Autumn begins!
Plus, you should purchase popular fall items from the craft store before they sell out!
Let’s get started!
Are you ready to be inspired?
Here are seven of my favorite DIY Fall Decor Crafts!
seven DIY fall decor crafts
1) Twine Pumpkins
Learn how to make two different types of twine pumpkins!
I adore these cute little rustic pumpkins!
The pine cones on top are the perfect touch!
2) Wood bead Garland with Ghost Tassels
Do you like to decorate for Halloween?
This wood bead garland with ghost tassels would be a welcome addition to your decor!
3) Pumpkin Topiary
Want to make a statement on your front porch this fall?
Make this fabulous pumpkin topiary!
4) Paint pumpkins
Are you tired of using traditional Fall colors in your decor?
Paint pumpkins to match your decor!
See how I used pearlescent paint to transform some of my pumpkins.
5) Rae Dunn-Inspired Halloween Candles
Make some super cute candles to add a little light to your Halloween decor!
If you’re a Rae Dunn fan, you’ll want to make these candles!
You can tweak the design to use for other holidays as well!
6) Paper Leaf Garland
Last year I searched for, but I could not find a neutral-colored fall garland!
So, I made my garland out of brown craft paper!
7) Adorable Yarn Pumpkins
I saved my favorite DIY Fall home decor craft for last!
Not only was it my favorite, but you all liked it too!
You see, it was my most viewed post of 2021!
And as of right now, it is my most pinned post on Pinterest!
Let me know if you decide to make these adorable yarn pumpkins!
WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE DIY FALL DECOR
If the seven crafts I just showed you didn’t provide enough inspiration for you to start making DIY fall crafts, maybe the four reasons I have listed below will change your mind!
1) SAVES MONEY
If you’re like me, you walk through Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, or Kirkland’s and wish you could buy everything!
However, the budget won’t allow that, so I take matters into my own hands and make items for a fraction of the cost!
Several of the crafts in this post and the pumpkin in the above picture were made with items from Dollar Tree that cost $1!
They’ve raised their price to $1.25 but that’s still a great bargain!
2) UPCYCLE OUTDATED DECOR
When I pull out my tubs of fall decor there are always a few items in the bottom that are old, outdated, or I’m just tired of using!
Instead of throwing them away or donating them, I like to upcycle them instead!
If you have items like that, you can update them into something you will love!
Look how I completely updated two old decor items into the cute wreath in the picture above.
3) CREATE A COHESIVE FALL COLOR SCHEME
I have lots of fall decor items in traditional autumn colors.
When we moved, I decided I wanted to use more neutral colors.
Instead of buying all new items, I painted things I already had!
My fall coffee bar had a completely different look from one year to the next!
4) crafting is a fabulous hobby
I love to craft for lots of different reasons!
First, it allows me to use my creativity and make things that I think are beautiful and I love!
Second, it makes me use my brain! I love to figure out how to make things and solve problems!
Third, it’s fun and helps reduce anxiety!
