I purchased the grapevine heart wreath from Hobby Lobby last year to craft a heart topiary!
However, I pivoted and made a topiary with a Dollar Tree heart instead!
So, I was determined to find a way to use it this season!
I hope you like my idea for this unique way to hang a small wreath!
Grapevine Heart Wreath DIY Steps
Gather
Gather or purchase the following items:
- Frame- from a canvas print I bought years ago
- Wreath- grapevine heart- Hobby Lobby
- Wood flowers- Hobby Lobby
- Ribbon- Hobby Lobby
- Glue dots or hot glue gun- Amazon
- Silicone finger protectors- Amazon
- Scissors
- Paint- Waverly Chalk in Snow White- Walmart
- Paintbrush- Hobby Lobby
Prep
Several years ago, I bought three canvas prints on clearance, then removed the canvas so I could use the wood frames in DIY projects.
I used one of those old frames for this project and gave it a quick coat of white paint.
While the paint was drying, I removed the wood stems from three wood flowers.
The flowers were leftover from this fun DIY when I upcycled some of our glass jars into vases!
Adhere the hearts to the grapevine wreath with hot glue.
Be very careful.
The glue is hot and can cause blisters.
We recommend using silicone finger protectors while using hot glue.
If you don’t want to adhere the flowers to the grapevine wreath permanently, use glue dots instead.
Assemble wreath
Cut a piece of ribbon to attach the wreath to the frame.
Hot glue the ribbon together or to the frame.
Style Your DIY Grapevine Heart Wreath
I displayed our DIY grapevine heart wreath on our mantel with an urn filled with mini pinecone picks and three standing hearts I made!
I almost added the lace ribbon around the edge of the frame, but I liked it better without it!
Sometimes simple is best!

Hi Donna! This is such a cute project. I love the simplicity of it. I don’t think I have any finger prints left after all the years of using a hot glue gun without anything protecting my fingers. So your suggestion of using the silicon tips is really good!
Donna Allen says
Hi Anna! Glad you like the wreath! After having several painful blisters from hot glue, I started using those finger protectors and they are a game changer! Thanks for stopping by!
