Can you believe it’s the last weekend in January?
Is the weather crazy where you live?
Last weekend, we were wearing our winter coats and hats and this weekend we’re back to shorts and t-shirts!
January has had its ups and downs in more ways than the weather!
Unfortunately, I am dealing with a medical issue that requires me to slow down and remove as much stress as possible from my life!
I don’t want to end up in a full-blown auto-immune flare, so we need to make some changes!
I’ll spare you the details, but if you’re the praying kind, I would appreciate it if you could add me to your list.
Even though we love connecting with you every Saturday, we are going to stop our Seasonal Sentiments newsletter during February.
This is an easy way to lighten the workload!
I’m hoping to be back on the first Saturday in March with a monthly update!
Until then, we’ll still be popping into your inbox on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
Here’s what we’ve been up to!
What we’ve been up to this week
Last weekend was all about fun and no work (that was my first step to relieve stress)!!
Renninger’s Antiques and Collectors Extravaganza
It was cold but we still enjoyed walking around and exploring all the outdoor booths!
You can see a little bit of everything!
There are lots of antiques!
And unique items people make!
To interesting items people might collect, like this clown on a sled!
Everyone needs one of those, lol!!
Here are the treasures we came home with!
An amazing demijohn, a beautiful swan bowl, and two German bone china platters.
But wait, there’s more!
Two finial statues, that I will have to paint, (because teal is not my color) and a kitchen colander filled with faux lemons!
The next event will be on President’s weekend and we’ll be there with hopes of finding vintage frames!
Festival of the Arts
The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is January 12th through February 19th, 2024.
The festival focuses on three artistic areas including culinary, visual, and performing arts.
Our son Griffin, who is a talented artist, joined us!
He was interested in seeing the artwork and enjoying rides, so we passed on the food booths.
Until Rich saw this!
It’s a sushi donut, and he stood in a long line to get it.
He said it tasted wonderful and he can’t wait to go back and get it again!
We participated in a class with a Disney Imagineer who teaches you how to draw a character!
Here are Rich and Griffin’s fabulous drawings!
Mine went in the trash because it looked like an alien!

Valentine’s DIY
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and we are welcoming the holiday with these standing hearts!
I made them from Dollar Tree faux wall tiles and items I already had on hand, so they were very inexpensive!

So sorry to hear you are struggling right now, Donna. I’m glad you’re being extra careful and doing everything to take care of yourself. I’ll definitely be adding my prayers to the others. This Florida weather is wild! One minute we’re in the 40s and the next we’re in the 80s. I’m glad you guys got to spend some time together at Epcot and I’m excited over all the fun things you saw at Renningers and the goodies you brought home too. Hugs, CoCo
