You can paint them any color you like!
Paint all the eggs the same color, or choose three different colors as I did!
Soft pastels or bold primary colors, there’s no limit to what you can do!
Next, stamp the eggs with your family members’ initials to make them unique to you!
I added a script to give them a vintage touch.
Then, I chose other stamps I had that made me think of Spring, like bunnies, butterflies, and flowers!
And here’s what I created!
Are you excited to learn how to paint and stamp unique Easter eggs?
Let’s get started!
Gather
Gather the following items to complete this DIY project:
- Plastic Easter eggs-purchased from Walmart
- Paint-I used Annie Sloan Chalk paint in Duck Egg Blue & Louis Blue. FolkArt Acrylic paint in Barn Wood.
- Paintbrushes
- Stamps
- Stamp pad
Paint
I painted Easter eggs a couple of years ago and added speckles to make them look like real eggs!
They turned out fabulous, and you can see my realistic speckled eggs here!
Since I still had paint left over from that project, I will use what I have instead of buying more!
Paint half of the eggs and let them dry.
Turn the eggs over, paint the other half, and let them dry.
You can still see white peeking through, so I will give the eggs a second coat of paint!
Repeat the steps until you get the coverage you like.
Stamp
Stamping is fun but I’ll be honest, I always mess up the first couple of times I use them.
I either press too hard or let the stamp slip!
So, take my advice and practice stamping on a piece of paper a few times before you try it on the eggs.
This is a bit difficult because the stamps are flat and the eggs are round, which makes it harder to get the stamp perfect!
I started by adding the script to my eggs first.
I found it was best to keep the stamp on the table and roll the egg over it, leaving open spaces for the other stamps.
Now let’s add more detail with the smaller stamps.
I discovered it was best to hold the egg and gently rock the smaller stamps back and forth over the egg.
After you make a couple, you start to get the hang of it!
If you mess up terribly, you can always paint the egg and start over!
Style
Now for the fun part!
Let’s style our eggs.
There are so many fun ways you can use them!!
Bowl
Basket
Nest

I can’t wait to incorporate them into my Easter table setting!
