They look gorgeous in a vase and make the most beautiful wreaths.
Here is my latest creation!

Isn’t it pretty, and guess what, this is the easiest wreath I have ever made.
If you need a beautiful decoration for your home, let me show you how to make a wreath using hydrangea blooms!
Gather
With just a few simple materials and an easy step-by-step process, you can craft a gorgeous hydrangea wreath that complements your style and space.

Gather the following items to make a Spring hydrangea wreath:
- wreath form
- faux flowers-I used 15 hydrangea blooms
- floral wire
- scissors
- ruler
Steps to make a hydrangea wreath
Follow along to learn how to easily make your own DIY hydrangea wreath!
Prep
Before you can assemble the wreath, you need to do some prep work.

First, remove stems from each flower. My stems were very short but still needed to be removed.
Second, cut an 8-inch piece of floral wire. You will need 15 pieces of wire, so repeat the step 14 more times!
Attach flowers to the wreath
Turn the wreath form upside down

Slide the pieces of hydrangea under it until you’ve gone all the way around the ring. (I used 11 of the 15 flowers)

Run a piece of wire through the flower stems.

Wrap the wire around the wreath form and twist it in the middle.

Wrap the excess wire around the wreath form so it does not stick out.
This is a great way to make a wreath because it is not permanent.
If you get tired of the wreath, just remove the flowers and use them in the form elsewhere!

Repeat this step until all 11 flowers are attached to the form.
You should have four remaining flowers to fill in any gaps.

Turn the wreath over and determine the sparse spaces.

I had one area where you could really see the wire form. So I added a green flower there.

I also realized I needed another green flower between the blue and white.
So, I placed it on the inside edge.

To complete the wreath, I placed the last two flowers on the inside edge in spots to make the wreath look even.

I love how it turned out!
Embellish the wreath

I personally think this wreath looks amazing.
However, if you think it’s too plain, you could add some of the hydrangea leaves around the outer edge or let leaves peek out between the blooms.
You could also use a ribbon to hang the wreath or make a bow.
Use your imagination and play around with it.
Conclusion

Creating a hydrangea wreath is an easy and rewarding way to elevate your home decor.
With its soft, lush blooms and customizable colors, this wreath can be tailored to suit any time of the year.
Whether you’re crafting one for your front door, a special occasion, or as a thoughtful gift, your handmade hydrangea wreath is sure to impress.

LOL about the lizard! Your wreath looks beautiful against the blue door. So pretty.
Thanks for sharing at the FWF link party
Rachelle
Thank you, Rachelle! I’m enjoying your link party! Have a fabulous week!
That is a beautiful wreath! I tend to use a few hydrangeas each spring when making my wreaths but I also tend to use a grapevine base and mix in other flowers too but I really like the look of this. I have a wire wreath base from Christmas and will be on the hunt for more hydrangea blooms at the craft store. Thanks for the idea and the tutorial. Pinned.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the post! Good luck making your wreath! It’s so easy and fun, I know you’ll love it! Thanks again, Donna
CONGRATS Donna! Your post will be FEATURED at the Crafty Creators Link Party 15 where Grammy’s Grid is co-hosting with Life as a LEO Wife on Thursday at 6am central!
Wow! That’s great news! Thank you so much for featuring my Spring Hydrangea Wreath! Can’t wait till Thursday! Thanks again, Donna
Congrats on being featured on Crafty Creators! If you head over to Life as a LEO Wife and follow me on FB or IG, I will share your post across my social media accounts over the next week (after the party opens) and tag you in those posts. I usually share my features on FB, IG, Pinterest, MeWe, & Twitter. I’ll follow you back so that we can stay connected. Forgive me if you’re already following me & I’m repeating myself lol. Just type following in the comments on Crafty Creators Link Party #15, & I’ll get you scheduled. I love this wreath, and I think I’ll try my hand at making my own. I’ll tag you in a photo if I do. By the way, if a lizard had come out at my mom, she would’ve gone on to be with the Lord! She is insanely terrified of them for some reason, even going as far as to throw a butterknife at my dad (before they had children) because he was holding one and walking toward her. I got a good laugh hearing that story as a kid!
XOXO,
Niki
Hey Niki! The story about your parents and the lizard is too funny! Thanks for featuring my Spring hydrangea wreath this week! Take care, Donna
