The details
The festival started on July 15, 2021, and you have until November 20, 2021, to visit this year’s festival!
Don’t forget you need a ticket and a park pass reservation to attend. Check the Disney website to make sure tickets and park passes are available for the day you want to go!
Make sure you understand the Disney World Policy for mask-wearing. This is important because their policy can change from week to week, based on what’s happening with the Covid virus in Florida! Currently, you must wear a mask inside buildings and on all transportation.
Food Booths
There is so much yummy food to choose from it’s really hard to narrow it down! I wish we could taste them all, but the budget won’t allow for that. Here are the items that looked most interesting to us!
Mac and Eats
Cowboy macaroni and cheese with smoked pork belly, brisket burnt ends, pickled peppers, and onion straws $6.25 This mac and cheese was amazing! All of the meat flavors blended so well with the cheese, and the onion straws added a wonderful crunch! Would get this again!
Truffle macaroni and cheese with herbed panko $5.75 This mac and cheese was wonderful, so creamy and delicious!
Lobster Landing
New England lobster tail with lobster bisque sauce $14.00 This dish was fabulous! The lobster was cooked perfectly and the sauce was to die for! Very good!
Baked lobster dip with Old Bay chips $5.50 This dip was so yummy! It had lots of lobster in the cheese sauce and the chips had the perfect amount of Old Bay seasoning! The only thing that would have made it better was if the temperature outside was 20 degrees cooler!
The Alps
Warm Raclette Swiss cheese with alpine ham, baby potatoes, Cornichons, and baguette $5.50 The cheese was warm, gooey, and very tasty. Not the easiest item to eat. Rich tried to make a sandwich but was not very successful.
Frozen rose $9.00 I enjoyed this frozen treat! The only problem was it melted rather quickly because it was so hot outside. I stilled enjoyed it though!
Ireland
Warm chocolate pudding cake with Irish Cream Liqueur custard $5.50 If you love chocolate this is for you. It was super moist and very chocolaty! Very yummy!
Kenya
Kenyan coffee barbecue beef tenderloin with sweet potato & corn mealie pap and Kachumbari slaw $6.00 We loved everything about this item! The blend of the beef, mealie pap, and slaw was so flavorful. I would get this again!
Piri Piri skewered shrimp with citrus-scented couscous $6.75 Rich enjoyed the flavor of the shrimp but thought the couscous was a bit bland. He mixed it with the veggies and a bite of shrimp and enjoyed it that way!
India
Korma Chicken with basmati rice, chickpeas, and spiced yogurt sauce $5.25 Rich enjoyed this one more than I did. I’m not a fan of the spices.
Brazil
Crispy Pork Belly with black beans, tomatoes, and onions $6.25 I enjoyed this dish, the pork was cooked well and I liked the black beans. Doubt I would get it again though, it just didn’t stand out compared to some of the other things we had.
Moqueca-Brazilian seafood stew with scallops, shrimp, and white fish with coconut lime sauce and steamed rice $5.75 Rich enjoyed this one but it did not stand out against other food.
Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread $4.75 I was a bit disappointed with this bread, I thought the cheese it was stuffed with was a bit bland.
Belgium
Beer-braised Beef served with Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes – $5.75 If you’re a beef stew fan, you will enjoy this one. The flavor was good, but the meat was a bit overcooked. I don’t think I would get it again.
Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache – $4.50 Rich thought this was a tasty waffle but was rather small. Just made him long for a big waffle. I guess that is why it was a couple of dollars less than most offerings.
Spain
Seafood Salad with Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Mussels, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, White Balsamic Vinegar, and Smoked Paprika $6.25 Rich likes olives and mussels, so he enjoyed this one more I did.
EPCOT food & wine best of the fest Part 2
Rich and I will pick our favorites from these booths!
Rich’s favorite:
Rich just loved how the flavors of the meat and the mac ‘n cheese blended so well together. He plans to get this dish again on our next trip.
Donna’s Favorite:
I loved both of these lobster dishes so much I couldn’t pick a favorite, so I’m going to call it a tie! However, the lobster was so expensive that I will probably skip it, and go for the dip next time we go back! Be sure to visit Lobster Landing, you can’t go wrong!!
Blessings, Donna And Rich
