We love living here but miss seeing the leaves change color and the cool, crisp temperatures!
Since it doesn’t feel or look like Autumn outside our house, it’s time to embrace the season inside!
Here are simple ways to add a touch of Autumn to your home!
Cozy and Beautiful Fall Decor Ideas
Welcome guests with a fall wreath
One of the easiest ways to decorate your home for Autumn is to put a seasonal wreath on your front door to welcome guests into your home!
See how I made this Fall basket wreath for free using items I already had on hand!
Warm up Your space with lanterns and candles
A scented candle is the perfect way to make your home smell like Fall!
Candles can also add a warm and cozy glow to any space.
I use these lanterns outdoors in the summer but enjoy them inside during the Fall!
Create a vignette for a coffee table
Make a simple vignette for your coffee table using a basket or tray.
Incorporate pumpkins, pinecones, and fall picks.
Then, put Fall stems inside a pitcher or vase!
Bring In Fall Branches
Fall branches in a vase look fabulous for Autumn!
You can use real or faux branches!
Add a few other fall elements with your branches to make a pretty centerpiece for your kitchen island or table.
Arrange dried botanicals
Dried flowers, grasses, wheat, and berries are perfect for Fall!
The botanicals are beautiful and look perfect in the vases I made from recycled glass jars!
Last year, I made two dried wheat arrangements that I’m displaying on the kitchen counter this year!
This pretty wheat bundle came from Home Goods.
Incorporate amber bottles
I love amber bottles and the fact you can use them all year.
However, they make a huge statement when you incorporate them into your fall decor and add dried botanicals!
Show Off Seasonal Throw Pillows
Another easy way to decorate for the season is to switch out throw pillows!
If you can’t purchase seasonal pillows because you don’t have a place to store them, see my secret for organizing pillows in your home!
If pillows aren’t in your budget, consider making your own.

Add Seasonal art
We love our picture frame TV and enjoy finding seasonal artwork to display!

Get cozy with a throw blanket
I love a cozy throw blanket and use it all year long!
Even though it’s still warm outside here, I get cold at night inside with the AC on.
Display Pretty pumpkins
It wouldn’t feel like Fall without pumpkins!
There are so many types, colors, and sizes you can make or purchase to decorate your home!
I made these adorable yarn pumpkins two years ago, and the tutorial is still our most popular post!
When we moved into the house, I painted the pumpkins on the two bottom shelves with pearlescent paint but decided I wanted to paint them white this year!
I enjoy using these jute twine pumpkins year after year!
You can not have too many pumpkins in your house for Fall!

I love fall decorating and the whole season but sometimes I get shortchanged with all of our travels – maybe next year I’ll start in August then I can enjoy it more.
