We’re Greeting the season with A new Paint color
If you’re new here, you need to know that when we moved into this house, every room was painted the same color gray!
Now, I love the color gray, but I am not okay with it on every single wall in the house!
I like to decorate for each season of the year.
Unfortunately, sometimes my seasonal decor clashed with the gray and made me wish I had white walls!
So, I went on the hunt for the perfect color white!
I wish I could boast about what a color expert I am, but that would be a lie!
My first choice was Alabaster by Sherwin Williams (bottom left square in the picture above).
Rich painted the kitchen and eat-in area and I thought it looked too yellow!
So back to the paint store we went!
This time we bought SW Pure White (top left square in the picture above).
Here is the living room before we painted it!
The gray color is SW Silverplate.
And here is the room after painting it with SW Pure White!
I love how much brighter it makes the room look!
I used to think white walls were boring, but not anymore!
I’m thrilled with them!
Don’t you think my DIY pinecone flower wreath looks amazing on the white wall?
Now that you’ve seen the new paint color, let’s take a tour of our home decorated for Fall!
our fall home tour
Welcome friends!
I have a beautiful and budget-friendly wreath hanging on the front door to greet visitors.
If you haven’t seen my porch decked out for Autumn, check it out!
Otherwise, come on in!
I’m so excited to share my Fall decor with you!
Instead of going room by room, I’m going to show you how I used different elements to decorate my main living space!
Branches
One of the easiest ways to decorate for Fall is to add branches to a vase!
Don’t have the budget to buy faux branches?
No problem, go outside and cut some real ones!
Neutral branches in a glass vase on the shelf in our eat-in kitchen.
Gorgeous maple leaf branches bring Fall vibes to my kitchen.
I made a garland out of four branches to decorate the mirror in our living room.
Pumpkins
It wouldn’t be Fall without pumpkins and I’ll admit that I’m a bit obsessed with them!
I don’t think you can ever have too many pumpkins!
First up are these elegant decoupage pumpkins I made as a centerpiece on my dining room table!
Velvet pumpkins, pinecones, eucalyptus, and oak leaves adorn a dough bowl in the eat-in kitchen.
My DIY jute twine pumpkin is nestled between two candlesticks.
This interesting pumpkin covered in wood flowers sits next to my bust planter on the console table in the living room.
A cute and cozy pumpkin pillow rests on our couch!
Pumpkins with inspiring words add interest to the Fall coffee bar.
pampas grass
Pampas grass is not just for boho lovers!
It looks amazing in glam, farmhouse, and even traditional homes!
dried Wheat bundles
I love the Fall and harvest vibes that wheat gives this time of year!
I made these dried wheat bundles to decorate my console table.
They are sitting next to an antique clock that my Grandmother refinished and gifted to my parents when I was very young!
wooden bowls
Wood bowls are beautiful and perfect for holding all kinds of Fall decor.
Dough bowls are so versatile and come in all kinds of shapes and sizes!
This long skinny one fits perfectly on the shelf in my eat-in kitchen!
This large round wooden bowl holds the adorable yarn pumpkins that I made last year!
I adore this wood pedestal bowl sitting on a tray on my kitchen counter!
baskets
Baskets make beautiful decor and are great for storage!
I love how this basket is shaped like a vase! It holds Fall floral picks in the living room.
My round basket holds a vignette of pumpkins and pinecones on my kitchen table.
Two baskets store cozy throw blankets under this shelf!
These large baskets fit perfectly on the bottom shelf of my console table!
a touch of Halloween
I think it’s fun to add a little Halloween decor to one area of my home.
This year I chose the foyer.
I didn’t want to spend much money, so I decorated the space with two Dollar Tree DIY projects and items I already had!
First, I made these spooky potion bottles out of jars!
Then, I made this hauntingly beautiful wreath out of creepy cloths!
I think it’s such a fun display!

Such a gorgeous fall home tour, Donna! I LOVE the new paint color and how it makes everything feel so bright and fresh. It looks like it would be so easy to pick out a white paint color but it is not for the faint of heart. I swear those undertones will get ya every time. Glad you found a color you love and didn’t settle. It looks amazing! Hugs, CoCo

Donna your home is looking so beautiful for fall! I am trying to pick the right shade of white for my living room/dinning and finding the right shade is tricky. The pure white you used by SW looks fabulous. I will have to check it out. Looks to bright and cheerful in your home. I am in love with your console table and how you decorated it with the mirrors and garland. Great job my friend.
