Have you stuck with them so far?
I got lazy halfway through 2023 and stopped making my bed every day.
It’s a small thing, but I feel like the house is tidier when the bed is made, so I wanted to get back into that habit!
I’m happy to report I’ve made our bed every day so far!!
Hopefully, my new habit will stick this time!
What we’ve been up to this week
Movie Time
The boys and I went to see Wonka!
My expectations weren’t high going in, but I liked it!
Lunch Celebration
Our youngest son is still visiting us from college and we wanted to celebrate the fact that he had a wonderful first semester in his PhD program!
He loves Asian food and has been wanting to eat at Morimoto Asia for a long time!
So off we went to give this restaurant a try!
It is beautiful and the interior is amazing!
We had two appetizers!
Berkshire Pork Lettuce Wraps- ground Berkshire pork, shitake mushroom, bamboo, water chestnut, and spicy hoisin sauce.
Sushi- California Roll- blue crab meat, cucumber, and avocado.
Both were excellent!
Now on to the entrees!
Rich chose the Morimoto Gomoko fried rice- Peking duck, chicken, Berkshire pork, shrimp, vegetables, and spicy house sambal sauce. He enjoyed this dish and loved how flavorful it was!
Harrison got the Oihsii shrimp lo mein- stir-fried noodles, napa cabbage, carrot, bean sprouts, mushroom, and scallion. He liked the flavor of the sauce and the dish overall but did not like the bean sprouts.
I chose the Morimoto “Buri-Bop”- Korean-style yellowtail rice bowl served in a hot clay pot and prepared tableside with egg yolk.
In the picture above you can see that the fish is raw.
The fish cooks on the side of the clay pot while they prepare the rice in the center!
Here it is after cooking! It was so fun to watch them prepare this and it tasted very good!
However, I don’t think I would get it again because of the price.
It was an expensive meal but the service was fabulous!
If you love Asian cuisine, it’s a great place to go for a special occasion!

Hi Donna, Happy New Year. I know I am late to the party, but it has been a rough start to 2024 for me. Looks like you had a great time with your boys celebrating great mile stones. And the food looked delicious. Thank you for sharing my V Day tablescape post.
