Is your holiday to-do list stressing you out? Between decorating, shopping, baking, cleaning, and wrapping, there’s so much extra work that needs to be done! Well, I have a suggestion that can help streamline one of those chores! A great way to make Christmas easier is by setting up an organized gift-wrapping station!
Imagine how helpful it would be if all of your gift-wrapping items were organized, ready, and waiting for you all in one place!

You could shop and then, wrap with ease!
Steps to set up a gift-wrapping station
Find the perfect spot
The first thing you need to decide is where your wrapping station will be.
I have a home office and craft room which is the perfect place to put a wrapping station.
However, if you don’t have a room or a closet where you can put a permanent wrapping station, decide where the best place to put a temporary station would be.
Perhaps a guest bedroom or the dining room.
set up a work table
You will need a flat surface to make wrapping gifts efficient (no more wrapping presents on a bed lol).
I am fortunate to have this desk that we made out of my grandmother’s baby grand piano! To see the tutorial click here.
If you don’t have a flat surface in the area you chose, put up a temporary card table.
Bring in a comfortable chair!
GATHER ITEMS NEEDED FOR A GIFT-WRAPPING STATION
Now that you have a place to wrap gifts, you need to gather all of the items you will need to wrap a gift! Here is my list:
- Table
- Chair
- Trash can
- Light
- Wrapping paper & gift bags
- Tissue paper
- Boxes
- Ribbon
- Tape
- Scissors
- Gift tags
- Pens
Contain your gift-wrapping supplies
You’ve gathered all of your supplies and there are a lot of them.
If you laid them on your desk or table you would have no room to wrap anything.
So, now you need to decide how to contain the items to keep everything organized.
I keep my wrapping paper, tissue, and gift bags in two black leather boxes In my office.
I store my Christmas supplies in a long plastic bin that fits under my bed.
During the holidays, I take the contents of the plastic bin and add them to the leather boxes.
I put the wrapping paper and gift bags in the box on the left.
My boxes and tissue paper go in the box on the right!
All of my Christmas ribbons are stored in plastic containers that fit inside this picnic basket.
Before I get ready to wrap, I put my plastic ribbon containers in front of the black boxes.
On the desk, I have an organizer that holds my gift tags, pens, and scissors. My tape dispenser is next to it!

At our last house, I had this large white cabinet where I stored all of my gift-wrapping supplies.
