Having a vacation day during the week threw me off!
Do you feel that way too, or am I the only one?
Anyway, we hope you enjoyed the holiday.
We sure did!
What we’ve been up to this week
This week was all about celebrations!
We knew about one, but the other was a complete surprise!
Celebrated the 4th of July
We celebrated the 4th of July at home!
You see, the fireworks in our neighborhood are so spectacular we don’t have to drive anywhere!
So we grilled these yummy spare ribs and enjoyed a feast at home!
Then, we grabbed our lawn chairs and set them up in the driveway!
If we looked to the left, we could see this…
And if we looked to the right, we could see this…
Those were the closest ones, but fireworks were going off around us!
We appreciate our neighbors that put on a spectacular show to celebrate our country’s freedom!
Celebrated Rich’s Promotion
We got a surprise this week!
Rich had his mid-year evaluation at his “real job” and was given a promotion!
He works hard every day and then helps me with the blog during his off time!
When I asked him how he wanted to celebrate, he said, “I want to see the new Indiana Jones movie!”
So off to the theater we went!
We both loved the movie, so if you’re a fan, you’ll want to see it!

I don’t do a lot for this season, just a few special touches here and there!
