If we still lived in Kentucky, we would be preparing for our annual Derby Party!
I did not continue the tradition when we moved Florida.
Maybe in 2024, I’ll pull out my Derby decor and start it up again!
We hope all of our friends and family back home are enjoying all the fun festivities leading up to the most exciting two minutes in sports!!
What we’ve been up to this week
A special birthday
Our sweet dog, Gracey, turned sixteen this week!
I wish I could express, in words, how much joy this little dog brings to our family!
Her old age is showing, so we enjoy and appreciate every day with her!
What we’ve been watching
I think it was in February that we purchased PBS Passport to watch All Creatures Great and Small!
It was so worth the $60 fee! We enjoyed that series and have watched several other shows since then!
We watched Sanditon! It’s so good! It tells the story of a young girl that moves to a seaside town named Sanditon and discovers new friends and love!
Now, we are watching season 11 of Call The Midwife. When I heard about this show several years ago, I didn’t think I would like it. But we gave it a chance and were immediately hooked!

What we’ve been up to on the blog
Home organization
Our Spring Home Organization Challenge continues, and we have finally knocked out the yard!
We took our time and worked several weekends in a row to get it done!
Here are the six steps we completed to clean up our yard! I’m always amazed at how much the bushes grow and the difference between the before and after pictures.
DIY
This brown cabinet ended up in my office from our son’s dorm room!
Raise your hand if you have an old, unattractive laminate storage cabinet like it in your home!
Whether you do or not, you must check out this transformation to see how we made this cheap cabinet look expensive!

I was a sucker for Downton Abbey when it was popular, I couldn’t get enough of it. Something about that time period and the way they lived I find intriguing. Although, I cannot imagine heating one of those massive estates!
