Simple Spring Decor Ideas
Whenever I decorate for a new season, I shop my house and make DIY craft projects to save money!
This season, I bought more new items than usual.
You see, I saved my Christmas and birthday gift money to buy some new items for Spring decor!
I had a blast shopping at craft stores, flea markets, thrift stores, and even specialty shops looking for great deals!
Let me show you what I found and how I decorated our house for this season!
Hang a Seasonal Wreath
Wreaths are so festive and easy to decorate with!
Hang one inside your house or on your front door!
I usually use this wreath during Fall and Winter, but I added these adorable bunnies (DIY pinecone flower wreath) and turned it into Spring decor!
Bring Outdoor Elements In
Visualize what you love about Spring and find a way to bring those elements indoors!
I originally made these DIY rustic birdhouses to decorate my Woodland Christmas tree!
Lucky for me, they are perfect for Springtime!
I purchased the antique demijohn at Renningers Flea Market and Antique Center for 50% off and will use it year-round!
I brought my DIY flower pots inside and filled them with faux greenery and moss balls to decorate the shelf in our eat-in kitchen.
Next, I added a birdcage, a lantern, a topiary, and a DIY moss mushroom to my pie shelf.
Now, let’s move into the foyer!
I hung a wreath adorned with Easter eggs on the mirror and placed a white upcycled basket on the bottom shelf.
I made the pedestal birdhouses from wood items and painted and stenciled the flower pots!
Set a Spring Table
I’m seeing scalloped-shaped items in all the stores, and I found a fabulous green scalloped bowl at the thrift store!
Isn’t it great? It was marked as half off, so I paid $3.50 for it!
I used it to make a simple Spring centerpiece with a basket, moss bunnies, and a bowl filled with a candle, moss balls, and decorative orbs.
Next, I shaped cloth napkins into bunny ears and tied them with an adorable bunny ribbon I found at Walmart!
Add Seasonal Artwork
Seasonal artwork might seem like a splurge, but when stores like Hobby Lobby sell items at 40% off, they’re hard to pass up!
First, we hung four pictures (we bought last year) on each side of our frame TV, like a mini gallery wall.
Then, we added this precious bunny we found on Etsy to our frame TV.
Next, I purchased this floral canvas from Hobby Lobby! It was 40% off, and I used a gift card, so no money out of pocket!
Do a Pillow Switch
On the same shopping trip, I bought these gorgeous embroidered pillowcases that had been marked down!
Can you believe how well they match the canvas? It’s like they were meant for each other!
I kept my DIY pom pom pillows from Winter, then added pink pillows and a DIY bunny pillow to the couch!
Update a Lamp Shade
I found another scallop-shaped item I had to have!
Our lampshade needed an update, so I purchased this lovely shade from the At Home store.
I don’t buy much from this store because they never have sales, but I had a 15% off coupon for my birthday!
Decorate With Wooden Trays And Bowls
I added moss balls, decorative orbs, and candles to a dough bowl and placed it on the TV console table.
Next, I used a wooden tray to create a vignette for our coffee table.
I layered it with a eucalyptus garland and placed bunnies on each end.
Then, I tucked a birdnest into a small cake stand and put it in the center!
Incorporate Spring Florals
I added pink flowering branches to coordinate with the pink pillows in our living room.
We purchased these beautiful lilac branches from Black Swan Mercantile, and I can’t get over how real they look!
Aren’t those stems amazing?
Another new addition to our house is the gorgeous hardware on our kitchen cabinets that Rich installed!
Embellish With Seasonal Decor Items
Bunnies
I’m obsessed with bunnies and love to use them in our Spring decor!
I usually buy one new bunny each year!
Say hello to this year’s addition to our Spring decor! I found him at Home Goods!
The two bunnies on the TV console used to be gold.
I painted and antiqued them to look more neutral!
Birds and eggs
The tiered tray in our coffee station holds two sweet white birds and a pretty egg.
I sat this cute DIY bunny tray on the kitchen island, added a bird pedestal, decoupage Easter eggs, and covered it with a cloche.
And here’s my latest DIY creation- three Easter egg topiaries!
Well, my friends, that’s a wrap on this season’s home tour!
We hope you enjoyed it and got lots of great Spring decor ideas to incorporate into your house!
