What we’ve been up to this week
It’s been a tough week as we try to adjust to life without our sweet dog, Gracey!
Thankfully, we had a couple of fun outings to help take our minds off it!
Yard Sale
We attended the last Yard Sale of the Summer at Renninger’s.
It’s the first time we’ve seen surfboards at a yard sale!
We got there early to beat the heat and found more great treasures!
If you follow us on Instagram stories, you have already seen them.
If not, our haul included a dress form, four old picture frames, three milk glass bowls, and a turkey platter!
A Visit with Friends
During our boy’s school years, they were involved in Boy Scouts and Marching band.
We were active parents and made many new friends while volunteering for both organizations.
We were so happy when we heard a couple of former band parents would be visiting Orlando.
Fortunately, we were able to meet them for dinner and shopping.
It was so good to see them and catch up on our lives!
Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of the four of us!
But I did take pictures of some things we spotted in the stores, like these attractive wood angels!

Such a fun way to round out the week, Donna. I’m glad you guys had lots of things to help take your mind off losing Gracey. It’s such a hard thing to go through. I never thought we’d be back into high school football games but my nephew is the kicker so we’re all in. It’s nice to know there will be lots of friendships made along the way. Hope you have the best weekend, CoCo

Hi CoCo! When I was driving today the person on the radio was talking about going to Friday Night Football Games. I miss those days when my kids where in High School! Have fun and enjoy the games! Thanks and have a great week!

You found quite the haul Donna, I am glad you were able to get out for a bit to get your minds off Gracey. If I am not mistaken, I believe that dress form was from a shop called B. Moss. It looks just like the dress forms they had sprinkled all through the stores when they were in business. I worked there while I was going to school, and loved the decor, and music (1940’s big band and such), I was so sad when they closed, it was an interesting place to work. You took me right back to the 90’s there. 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Cara! Isn’t it amazing how seeing something can take you back to relive so many memories! Thanks for sharing info on the dress form, I have no idea were it originated. Wouldn’t it be amazing if it came from that store! I hope you have a wonderful week! Blessings, Donna
