I can’t wait to get this area ready for porch sitting!
It’s a bit messy right now!
I’ve neglected it since I removed the Christmas decorations at the first of the year!
It’s time to say goodbye to our poinsettias and…
deal with all of the pollen!
Ready or not, we’re going to get this porch cleaned up!
First things first!
1) Spring Clean the Front Porch
If your porch looks anything like mine, it needs a good Spring cleaning before you’ll want to spend any time there!

2) Choose a color to decorate your porch
Now’s the time to decide what colors to use!
I got the inspiration for my front porch decor from these beautiful tulips!
I love how the salmon, peach, and white colors blend beautifully!
The inside of my house is very neutral, so I decided to go bold and add some bright colors for Spring!
Want to see what I made with the tulips?
3) Welcome guests with A decorated door
One of the easiest ways to decorate your front door is to add a beautiful wreath for the season!
If you’d like to know how I made it, check out the post on how to make a simple tulip wreath for Spring!
4) Incorporate rugs
Next, you’ll want to add a rug in front of the door to help keep dirt from entering your home!
I like to layer doormats to get a new look! I replaced the one we used during winter and added another on top.
The saying on our doormat is perfect for welcoming our Spring guests!
We added this fun rug with touches of orange to the sitting area!
A rug makes the porch feel more like an indoor space.
5) Add color with Potted flowers
We were so happy to find flowers in the peach/salmon/orange family!
They go perfectly with the tulip wreath!
Now let’s hope I can keep them alive!
6) Bring an indoor vibe outside with Comfy pillows
Add pillows to your seating area for comfort and to add more color!
Add a throw blanket to the seating area to keep warm if it gets chilly outside!
7) Decorate your porch with seasonal items
We brought out a lantern with a citronella candle inside.
Then, to tie in the yellow color in the pillow, we added these gorgeous tulips!
We hope you’ll use our seven ideas to spruce up your front porch for Spring!
Now that the work is done, I’m going to grab a sweet tea with lemonade and relax on the front porch!
