Our Home organization challenge is unique
There are lots of challenges out there to help you organize your home in a few weeks or months, but I like to take a different approach! My challenge is different because I take the process one step further and encourage you to personalize the space and turn it into a place that you love. Removing the clutter from your home will help you feel less stressed and make daily life easier because you will know where to find everything, but if the space still does not look beautiful to you, then you won’t feel comfortable and happy!
Here’s how the challenge works
Our challenge is broken down by seasons so you won’t feel so overwhelmed with the thought of organizing your entire home in a short amount of time. Each season I will focus on five areas. This winter, I will organize the laundry room, Kitchen, Pantry, Office, and Paperwork. You can follow my plan or choose different areas that are important to you! If you’re not ready to tackle an entire room, break it down further and plan to organize a cabinet, a closet, or a drawer. The important thing is getting started. I have found that once you start organizing, you want to do more, so tackling a whole room will eventually come!!
How to start the challenge
For the challenge to be successful you must set goals for yourself. To help with that I developed a seasonal goal sheet. To get access to my goal sheets and other printables that will help you with this challenge, sign up for our weekly email.
Printable library
After you sign-up you will have access to our free printable library. You can print the goal sheet that I will be using or you can print a blank goal sheet and fill it in yourself. Each week you will receive an email with tips and encouragement to keep you motivated through that season! So, sign up and get those goals written down so we can get started!!!
How to organize your first space
I have a plan that has worked wonders for me that I call the 6/P strategy. If you remember the following six words that start with the letter P you will be able to organize any space in your home. And more importantly, you’ll be able to keep it organized! Here are the magic words: Prepare, Purge, Polish, Personalize, Place, Put back. Click here, and read an earlier post on how to use this strategy! As we work through the year I will be adding printable worksheets to help you with each room of your home. For example, I will start with the laundry room and will have a printable to help with that specific room.
A new Year A new home!
I’m so excited you are going to join our Seasonal Home Organization Challenge and can’t wait to hear how you plan to transform your home in the year 2020! Next week I’ll be sharing my organized and beautiful laundry room! Now it’s time for you to print the sheets and arrange them in a binder. Decide what areas you’ll be working on and set a seasonal goal! Happy New Year and happy organizing!!
Blessings, Donna and Rich
