The month flew by and amid the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations, we enjoyed spending quality time with our family!
Today we’re sharing some of our treasured traditions and fun moments that made this month special.
Are you ready to take one last look back before we step into a brand-new year?
What we did behind the scenes in December
Nature Preserve
We are blessed to have our youngest son home (he arrived just before Thanksgiving and will be here a few more days) and we went on many walks to explore nature!
He enjoys photographing birds and other types of wildlife, and got this great shot of a raccoon at The Oakland Nature Preserve!
You can follow him on Instagram at @ allen_wildlife_photos.
While visiting the preserve, we were shocked to see how much destruction Hurricane Milton left behind.
It was sad to see how many trees were completely uprooted (like the picture above) or broken by the strong winds.
Gingerbread Houses
Our newest Christmas tradition started when we moved to Florida.
The boys enjoy decorating gingerbread houses but always complain about how frustrating it is to assemble them with icing, so we hot-glued them together this year!
It worked perfectly!
They turned out so cute!
Theme Park Day
Our boys enjoy going to theme parks as much as Rich and I do, so when they’re home for Christmas we always have one day at a park.
They chose the Magic Kingdom and we had a blast even though it was extremely crowded!
Here they are at the fort on Tom Sawer’s Island for the last time.
Disney will be closing this attraction to make way for a new one.
Christmas Eve Pajamas
Here’s our annual Christmas Eve pajama picture!
We had a wonderful holiday together, along with my Dad and brother!
