I know this is such a busy time of year, so I’d like to thank you for joining us here today!
Your friendship means so much to us!
Can you believe we only have one week and two days until Christmas?
Have you been preparing for weeks, or do you work better under pressure at the last minute?
Whichever is the case, we hope you enjoy the journey!
Here’s what we’ve been doing to prepare our hearts and home for the holidays!
What we’ve been up to this week
Candlelight Processional
When we moved to Florida, we decided to start a new Christmas tradition of attending the Candlelight Processional!
If you are unfamiliar with this event, the Candlelight Processional is performed annually during the Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT in Walt Disney World.
A choir and orchestra perform live while a celebrity guest narrates the telling of the Christmas story!
Our narrator, Marlee Matlin, was fabulous!
She signed and had an interpreter speak the words.
We thoroughly enjoyed the performance.
Wrapping gifts
Have you started wrapping gifts yet?
Do you think it’s fun, or do you consider it a chore?
I’m one of those people who love to wrap presents!
Discovering wrapping paper that matches my Christmas tree theme is a must!
Wrapping the boxes is fun, and I adore finishing each one with a pretty handmade bow!
And don’t forget the matching gift tag!
When the wrapping was done, I moved on to Christmas cards!
In hindsight, I should have switched the tasks so my cards would have gone out earlier, lol!
Sending Christmas Cards
Yes, I still send Christmas cards.
It makes me sad that fewer and fewer people send cards each year!
I get that it can be time-consuming, and I’ve even done a few things to shorten the process I thought I would never do.
For instance, we write a letter to put inside the card rather than hand-writing a note and signing it.
We also print addresses on labels to cut down time there.
Do you enjoy sending and or receiving Christmas cards?
