Everything was going according to plan!
We had a couple of fun outings on the weekend, but then the clouds rolled in!
We’re so used to sunshine here in Florida that when the sun doesn’t come out, it makes us sad!
Besides being cloudy and dreary, I’ve not been feeling well, and our son, who lives with us, had periodontic surgery (for the third time)!
I had to take more time off during the week than expected, so today’s newsletter will be shorter than usual!
Thanks for understanding and being here!
We appreciate you more than you know!
What we’ve been up to this week
Let’s forget about the doctor appointments and focus on the fun we had!
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal
Rich and our son, Griffin, went to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights for the first time!
I do not like scary stuff, so I stayed home!
They encountered creepy characters, went through scary haunted houses, watched an exciting stage show, rode a few rides, and ate specialty food items!
Both said they enjoyed the night and would like to attend next year!
Moana Preview at EPCOT
Whenever a new attraction opens, at Disney, they let annual pass holders preview it before it opens to the public.
So we headed to EPCOT to walk through the new “Journey of Water” attraction inspired by the movie Moana!
It’s not a ride.
You walk through it, and it explains the life cycle of water.
It has stations where you can interact with water.
They provide “dry” paths, so you don’t have to get wet if you don’t want to!
It’s a beautiful area that little kids who enjoy splash pads will love!
Dining room makeover
We shared the fireplace Rich built for our dining room, but we’re not done yet!
The whole room is getting a mini makeover!
We added crown molding around the ceiling (still need to do the recessed area)!
The picture above shows how we played with painter’s tape to decide how to add decorative trim to the walls!
What we’ve been doing on the blog

Such a fun week, (save for the surgery) Donna! 2 of my nephews are super excited to be able to go to Halloween Horror Nights. The oldest is 12 and his parents think he’s still a bit young but I can tell you he’s counting down the days until they let him go 🙂 The Moana exhibit looks like such a peaceful place. Sending you lots of hugs and hoping we get some Fall-ish weather soon. It’s been really windy here lately and with the misty rain almost felt like it was on the way for a hot minute. Sending you lots of hugs and keeping Griffin in my prayers, CoCo

Thanks for the prayers, my friend! We appreciate it so much! It’s been so cloudy and rainy here this week you would think it would be a lot cooler! Blessings, Donna
