April showers finally arrived in Central Florida consistently this week, and our yard is finally looking green!
Hopefully, we have seen the end of drought conditions!
Are you having extreme weather where you live?
What we’ve been up to this week
Celebrating Earth Day
Did you all do anything special on Earth Day last Saturday?
We celebrated by strolling around the Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT!
It was our second visit to this festival and we saw new things and tasted different foods than we experienced the first time!
We went inside the butterfly garden and saw hundreds of beautiful specimens like the one in the picture above!
Then, we spotted several huge butterfly topiaries covered in succulents!
Have you ever seen so many gorgeous succulents in one place??
Our favorite food item came from the Honey Bee-stro booth!
It’s called the “Pollinator Flatbread,” and it’s topped with honey-whipped mascarpone, honey-caramelized onions, blueberry gastrique, prosciutto, honey-whipped goat cheese, arugula, honey vinaigrette, and bee pollen!
Can you say YUM?
I’m holding our top pick for the drink of the day!
It’s the frozen violet lemonade from the Pineapple Promenade booth.
The pretty flowers on top are edible!
Here is our favorite topiary of the day!
It’s Princess Tiana, and it is a sight to behold!
New Shoe update
If you joined us last week, you know we bought new tennis shoes that were a bit of a splurge!
Earth Day wasn’t the only reason we went to EPCOT, we wanted to test out our new shoes!
After walking around on concrete, I have to say, they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had!
Rich says they are worth every penny we paid for them and there’s no way he’ll go back to cheaper shoes after this!
What we’ve been up to on the blog
In case you missed out, here’s what we posted about this week!
Breakfast Board
First, we showed you how to make an easy breakfast board perfect for Mother’s Day or any special occasion!
You’ll want to check out the post for directions on how to put the board together, plus bonus ideas on how to decorate with paper products and a delicious juice recipe!
DIY Wood tray
Then, we showed you how to make the wooden tray that held all of those yummy breakfast items!
See how Rich and I worked together to create this gorgeous footed wood tray with handles!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you for hosting Donna, I have not been to Epcot in years! I remember it being so much fun, along with Disney World. Ohio has been dreary, cold, and in the 30’s at night.
Donna Allen says
Hi Cara! Thanks for stopping by today! We love going to the different festivals at EPCOT, they are so much fun!! Don’t you hate it when you get a taste of Spring and then the weather gets cold again? Hopefully, that will be the end of your cold weather!! Stay warm!!
