Each season EPCOT hosts a different festival!
It’s Spring and that means it’s time for the Flower and Garden Festival!
Details about flower & garden festival
From March 2nd through July 4th EPCOT is hosting the 2022 International Flower and Garden Festival! You must purchase a ticket to enter the park, but there is no additional charge for the festival.
It’s your chance to view thousands of flowers, amazing topiaries, unique gardens, and lots more!
And today we’re going to take you along as we stroll through this amazing park and enjoy all the festival has to offer!
We have our handy festival Passport, so let the fun begin!
Highlights of the Festival
topiaries
My favorite part of this festival is the topiaries shaped into Disney characters!
Here we have the ostrich’s from the movie Fantasia!
Characters from Winnie the Pooh sit outside one of the shops in the UK section of World Showcase. By the end of the festival, Pooh’s belly will grow a lot bigger!!
Anna and Elsa are in Norway.
Snow White and Dopey are near the water’s edge!
Across from them are the other six dwarfs!
gardens
During the festival, you can visit small gardens set up around the park!
Floating gardens across from the Land pavilion.
There is an amazing collection of bonsai trees outside the Japan pavilion.
There are many more gardens to enjoy, but I didn’t take pictures of them! Sorry, we were so focused on food, I forgot to get pictures of most of the gardens!
outdoor kitchens
We love trying new foods at the festival.
It’s fun to check out each of the outdoor kitchens to see what type of yummy treat they are offering!
Here are a few of our favorites!
At EPCOT Farmers Feast we loved the char-grilled Bison Ribeye with creamy leek fondue, roasted carnival cauliflower, romanesco, and port-wine goat cheese butter.
The Honey Bee-stro wowed us with the Lavendar Honey Mustard-marinated Chicken Flatbread with whipped honey-ricotta cheese, marinated vegetables, and goat cheese. We also liked the Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon Bread with jalapenos, bacon, and house-made whipped honey butter.
At EPCOT Sunshine Griddle we enjoyed the Corned Beef Brisket Hash with house-made potato barrels, onions, peppers, cheese curds, and a soft-poached egg with Tabasco hollandaise sauce. But the most amazing food we tried was the fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with cream cheese frosting and candied bacon. OMG, they were so good!
Trowel & Trellis had a wonderful Chocolate cake with whipped cassis mousse, raspberry gelato, and fresh raspberries.
And last, but not least, is the dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart with whipped cream and white chocolate from the Cider House!
bambi’s butterfly house
It’s so fun to enter the butterfly house and watch all of these amazing creatures float and flutter all around you!
other offerings
We did not participate in the offerings listed below but we wanted you to know that they are available, in case you decide to visit!
ATTEND A CONCERT
You can enjoy live performances of popular bands at the Garden Rocks Concert Series. For info on who’s playing click here!
participate in a scavenger hunt
There are two scavenger hunts you can participate in at this festival. There is a fee involved but you do receive a prize at the end. Maps can be purchased at select merchandise locations.
If you attend before Easter, they have an Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt. You have to find eggs, like the one above, scattered throughout the World Showcase. This is available for a limited time.
Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is available during the entire festival and takes place throughout the park! You get to search for Spike the bee as he collects nectar and pollinates the gardens!
Enjoy the garden graze
Every festival has a special food stroll you can participate in. You are required to purchase five menu items from select locations and get a stamp for each one. Then, you will receive a completer surprise, which is usually a yummy dessert!
shop for festival merchandise
Every festival has special merchandise developed just for that year! We spent all of our time outside and didn’t check out the merch this time!
I hope you enjoyed sharing our beautiful day at EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival!
