My kitchen gets a lot of use during the holiday season, so I can’t clutter it up with a lot of decorations. Let me show you how I like to add a little bit of Christmas here and there to my kitchen!
When I’m working in the kitchen this time of year you can bet there’s one of two things happening…

One-Christmas music is playing loud for all to hear!!
OR
Two-a Hallmark Christmas movie is showing on my TV!!
A little entertainment makes the work so much easier!!
Now that you know what it sounds like in my kitchen, let me show you what it looks like!
steps to add a little Christmas to your kitchen
Hang a wreath
The easiest way to add a festive touch to your kitchen is to hang a wreath!
I added a few snowflakes to the wreath, couldn’t have anything hanging off of it, since it’s over the stove!!
I hope this isn’t a fire hazard!
Just so you know, there’s a fire extinguisher in the cabinet below!! Better safe than sorry!!
use Minimal Decor on counters
I made these amazing yarn cone Christmas trees specifically for my counter! To see the DIY click here! They look wonderful and can be easily moved if needed!
add decor to a bar cart
I moved the bar cart out of the dining room and into the kitchen for the holidays!
Two small stacked cutting boards, a couple of trees, and this house add a little bit of Christmas to the bar cart!
Dress up a tiered tray
Greenery, pinecones, white houses, and a couple of bottle brush trees dress up my tiered tray!
I love using my festive holly and berry coffee cups during this season!
set a Festive table
I wanted to keep my table very neutral by using white and cream-colored dishes. The only color comes from the holly and berries!
Decorate shelves
I’m excited to start collecting gingerbread pieces to use in my kitchen, so far this is all I have!
This little house is just so cute! Don’t you agree??
put up a small tree
We are so fortunate to have a large eat-in kitchen, so I had room to add a small tree in this corner!
You can never have too many Christmas trees, can you???
Decided to go with a snow theme in this area, so I used all white and clear ornaments!
I made this cute tree topper and it only cost one dollar!! Can you believe it?? If you want to see how I made it click here!!
Decorate a shelf and mirror
Made a few extra snowflakes for the mirror!
I had two snowball garlands leftover from decorating the tree, and put them on the shelf!
Now you can see why I added the snowballs to the cloche on the table!! So simple, but cute!
Well, my friend, you’ve seen how I decorated my kitchen for Christmas!
I told you what my kitchen sounds like during Christmas!
And soon…
My kitchen is going to smell like Christmas when I start baking all those yummy Christmas cookies!
I can’t wait!!!
Do you ever add a little Christmas to your kitchen?? If so, let me know in the comments below!
