We are beginning a new season of life many refer to as the “Empty Nest” however, we’ll be calling it the “Almost Empty Nest”! You see, our oldest son graduated from college but has moved back home and has just found his first job for his degree (hence the reason we almost have an empty nest) and our two younger sons are attending out-of-state colleges, so we are free to do as we please! No more scheduling our lives around all of their activities! Don’t get me wrong, we loved that season of life and made so many new, wonderful friends and made lots of great memories but we are really excited to see what this next season brings!!
Because we have more time on our hands, we decided to start this blog! We are so excited to share our organization strategies, simple DIY projects, fun seasonal decorating ideas, tech tips for the not-so tech savvy and just for fun we’ll share some of our travel adventures and tips for organized, stress-free vacations! So no matter what season of life you happen to be in now, we hope you’ll join us on our new journey! Here’s a preview of what the blog will be about…

Home Organization and Seasonal Challenges:
I’m obsessed with organizing and it makes me feel calm and at peace when I’m not surrounded with clutter. I get so excited about the process and I want to help others feel the same way I do! I have developed a great strategy for organizing every area of your home and can’t wait to share it with you! In fact, I’m so determined to help you that I’ll be sharing past and present pictures of my home organization ordeals. Do you understand how embarrassing this is going to be?? I’ll be posting pics of our clutter for the whole world to see, but that’s how determined I am to help you get motivated to start organizing every area of your home!! Enough said, I hope you’ll join me each season, as I organize a zone of our home and challenge you to work right along side me. At the end of the year, you will have a transformed home that will function better for your needs, I promise!
If you’d like to be a part of our seasonal organization challenge then join our email list by filling out the form on the right side of the page to sign up for our emails. You will also gain access to our free printable library which will provide you with the forms you need to make an organization binder to guide you every step of the way.
Decorating our Home and adding seasonal touches:
I love to decorate our home but we have lived here for 22 years and lots of things are out-dated or very worn. It’s time to change things up and I have finally figured out my decorating style and am excited to make the place look more cohesive and beautiful. I hope our projects will inspire you to figure out your style and give you ideas to help you decorate your home. I also love to add seasonal touches around the house and will show you how you can do the same.
DIY Projects inside and out:
As I was saying, we’ve lived in our home for over 20 years with 3 boys, 2 dogs and 2 cats and the wear and tear is really starting to show. We have a lot of work to do to update certain areas of our home, which translates into lots of DIY projects that we’ll be sharing with you! We hope you’ll follow along and gain the courage to begin a home improvement project of your own. Believe me, if we can do it, so can you!! It’s going to be so fun to see how different our home looks in one year from now!!!
Tech Tips to update the home:
Rich will be sharing how he has incorporated technology into our home to make it safer, more comfortable and sometimes just a lot of fun…
Organized Travel and pictures of great places to visit:
We love to camp, go to theme parks (especially Disney World which takes lots of planning ahead if you want to get your money’s worth) and travel around the country and would like to share our tips for vacation planning, packing, etc. Rich loves to take pictures and who knows, maybe seeing our pics will inspire you to go someplace you’ve never been!!
Most important sign up for our email list using the form in the siderbar to continue to receive emails from us. Another perk of signing up for our emails is access to our printable library. When you decide to join our organization challenges you’ll want to be able to print our guides!
Hope you enjoyed our first post and will be following us for many seasons to come! Please leave a comment below and let us know what you think about our new endeavor!
Blessings, Rich & Donna
