Mother’s Day Table Decor Ideas
Find Your Inspiration
The first step is to decide on a theme or a color scheme for your table setting!
Last month I made a yarn flower garland to hang on my mantel and it turned out so cute I wanted to leave it up to use on Mother’s Day!
We’ll use blush pink, cream, beige, and white colors, from the garland, on the table and around the dining room.
Create a Beautiful Centerpiece with Annuals
Last year, my friend Kim, from Perfecting Places, set a Mother’s Day table using annuals as the centerpiece!
I thought that was a genius idea and wanted to try it this year.
When Mother’s Day is over, the flowers can be used outdoors and enjoyed through the summer!
It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
To make the centerpiece, I started with a large basket and sat it in the center of the table.
The begonias fit inside it, leaving some open space on each end.
To fill in I added a candle and round orbs to each end.
Next, I placed two small begonia plants inside a flower pot.
I used plastic grocery bags in the bottom of the pot and put orbs in the pots to cover the bags.
Choose placemats or a Tablecloth
I shopped our house and found these pretty placemats, in cream and beige that we bought at Disney World.
Look closely, you can see hidden Mickey’s in the design!
Determine Your Place Setting
I brought out the pink chargers and our everyday cream dishes and glasses.
Add A Special Touch
To add a special touch to the table I googled “how to fold a napkin into a pocket.”
It’s so easy, anyone can do it and it’s a fun way to display silverware!
Then, I made six yarn flowers to sit on the pocket!
Coordinate other Elements in the Dining Room
Now it’s time to decorate the top of the mantel in neutral colors that match the garland.
I shopped our house looking for neutral items I thought would work.
I chose several wooden items, including corbels, candlesticks, and a bowl.
The DIY pom pom pillows match some of the yarn flowers!
I filled the wooden bowl with candles and more orb fillers.
The ribbon wreath is new!
I made it and will be sharing the DIY soon!
In Conclusion
We hope these simple Mother’s Day table decor ideas have inspired you!
