If you’re new here, we decided to take a break from posting on Saturdays because I’m dealing with some health issues and need to de-stress!
Instead, we will do a monthly rewind post!
I am feeling better, but still have two more tests and more doctor visits coming up!
Thanks to all of you who have been praying for me!
I appreciate it so much!
Here’s what we’ve been up to!
What We Did Behind The Scenes In February
Went to the Movies
We have gone to the movie theater more in February than we usually do in a whole season.
That’s because we wanted to see Season 4 of The Chosen on the big screen.
We usually watch it on TV, but they broke this season into three separate movies!
If you are unfamiliar with The Chosen, it’s a series about the life of Jesus Christ through the eyes of those he chose to surround himself with.
If you haven’t seen it, you should start watching it now to help prepare your heart and mind for the Easter season.
We also went to see Ordinary Angels, it’s a true story that took place near where we lived in Kentucky!
We highly recommend it too!
Attended Festival of the Arts
You all know how much we love to attend festivals at EPCOT!
We enjoy walking around the park and viewing the incredible work of artists!
And tasting some yummy food too!
Celebrated my Birthday
February is my birthday month, and we celebrated the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Visited with Family
Rich’s sister and her husband drove to Florida for President’s Day Weekend.
It was a great visit, but it rained non-stop for two days straight, so we were stuck inside!
We did venture to Animal Kingdom Lodge to eat dinner one night at Boma!
manatee Viewing
Every Winter, we say we’re going to see the manatees at Blue Spring State Park, and we finally went there!
Hundreds of manatees come here in the winter because the water temperature is warm for them.
We only saw one up close!
Can you believe how clear the water is?
Unfortunately, it’s hard to see them in the photographs, but all of those gray blobs are manatees!
When our family comes to visit for Christmas this year, we are going to take them there!
It’s quite a sight to see!
Discovered a new town
If you’ve been around for a while, you know we visit Mount Dora several times a year to attend Renniger’s Antique and Flea Market.
However, we had no idea what a fabulous downtown area this town offers!
We enjoyed walking the quaint streets, and going to the shops!
My favorite was a beautiful store called Black Swan Mercantile!
We had a yummy lunch at a vegan restaurant called Dark and Light Cafe.
We can’t wait to go back and discover more stores and restaurants in this fun little town!

Rachel @ The Antiqued Journey says
Hello!
Hope you continue to feel better and get the things that you need for your health…so sorry you are having to deal with it all, Donna!
Those manatees are SO cool…my uncle periodically sends me photos of manatees that come into their marina during the Winter and they are just amazing!
Thanks so much for sharing my thrifting post…I truly appreciate it!
Take care, friend!
Donna Allen says

CoCo says
Such a fun way to spend the month, Donna! I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better. You’ve definitely been in my thoughts and prayers. I’ll continue to pray your test results come back with positive results! Love that you spent your birthday at Disney. I hope it was a special one. Downtown Mt. Dora is fabulous. They have a ton of good places to eat and a shop. I love that a lot of the parks are clsoe to the water too so you can grab an ice cream cone and unwind after a busy day. It’s pretty at Christmas too! Hugs, CoCo
Donna Allen says
Hi CoCo, I’m looking forward to going back to Mt. Dora and we both commented that we’ll have to go back during the holidays because it probably looks like a Hallmark movie set!! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! I appreciate your prayers!!
